Brindley Heath Academy – Principles for Parent Communication
As a school, we are dedicated to serving our community in the best way we possibly can, including through accurate, timely and sensitive communication. At times, parents and carers may seek clarification, want to offer their parental viewpoint or give feedback. We welcome this form of communication as it is vital to develop an effective partnership between school and home.
To ensure effective and professional communication, the following principles have been devised:
School will also challenge communication or behaviour which is not respectful or timely. Disrespectful behaviour may include (but is not limited to):
Communication in such instances will be cut short and a letter of expectation will be sent to reinforce the principles above.
If repeated incidents occur, measures may be taken to reduce or direct to an alternate method of contact with school. This will be at the discretion of the Head of School and Executive Headteacher. Should a significant incident occur, then the Directors of the Multi-Academy Trust reserve the right to take further measures to ensure our community is served in the best way we possibly can.
