Our curriculum and approach to teaching and learning at Brindley in Computing is ambitious, inspirational and designed to enable all children to achieve to their full potential. Our intention is that children will be immersed in technology, not only within their weekly computing lessons, but also throughout the curriculum as technology is used to enhance and support learning. Within computing lessons, children will follow a progressive pathway of learning that explores networks and computer systems, creating media, data and information and computer programming (including the use of physical programming devices such as micro:bits). Across the curriculum, teachers will use technology such as in-class visualisers to model new learning, whilst children will use iPads to present their learning in new and innovative ways. We want our children to experience and talk passionately and confidently about computing and technology so that they are ready for their next steps in learning in the modern world.
